Membership
It is free to join the library. All you need is proof of identity, such as a current driver’s license & a phone number and/or email address. Members may borrow up to twenty items each, including books, DVDs and magazines. The loan period is three weeks, and it is usually possible to renew items.  We value the comfort and safety of all Library visitors and staff. In light of this, Council adopted the Collie Public Library Patron Code of Conduct in August of 2020.

Events & Programs

Collie Public hosts a variety events throughout the year, with something for everyone, no matter your age or interest! Recent events have included Lazer Tag, Mario Kart Championships, Themed Quiz Nights, Tea Blending Workshops, Wills Seminars and Gardening workshops.

2022/2023 Summer Reading Quest

Summer Reading Quest is back this Summer! Record in your SRQ Booklet how long you read each day in December and January for the chance to win great prizes! The SRQ Booklet also includes an Adventure Card that you can use to complete fun literacy activities to track down the Kraken … if you dare! Head in to Collie Public Library to collect your SRQ Booklet and get ready to read!

Summer Reading Quest begins on Thursday 1 December 2022 – two months of fun literary activities await! There’s tons of prizes across the state that are up for grabs, but you’ve got to be in it to win it! Come into the library to collect your Summer Reading Quest Booklet (for ages 5+) or Summer Steps Card (for under fives) and get ready to read!

Rhyme & Story Time
Monday mornings 9am during school term.
A great way to develop your pre-schooler’s early literacy and meet other parents! Enjoy a story and a sing-a-long with Mrs Potts.

STEAM Club
Thursday afternoons 3.30pm – 4.30pm during term
An after school club for 9-14 year olds with an interest in science, technology, engineering, maths and games. We explore STEAM themes with fun, games and experiments.

LEGO Club
Monday afternoons 3.30pm – 4.30pm during term
