The 60L open top bins in Steere St in the CBD have been removed because they were not coping with the amount of rubbish, and were also an attraction for crows, which picked the litter out and spread it along the street.  They will be replaced with 120L closed lid bins which will be installed on Monday 9 July.

Ideally the removal and installation would have been done concurrently, but two had been vandalised and were a hazard to leave.
