Proposed Local Law – Standing Orders Amendment Local Law 2018

The Shire of Collie has resolved to make a local law relating to Standing Orders.

The purpose of the law is to amend the Shire of Collie Standing Orders Local Law 2017 that provides rules and guidelines which apply to the conduct of meetings of the Council and its committees and to meetings of electors.

The effect of the law is that these Standing Orders will result in:

  • Better decision making by Council and its committees;
  • The orderly conduct of meetings dealing with Council business;
  • Better understanding of the process of conducting meetings; and
  • The more efficient and effective use of time at meetings.

A copy of the proposed law may be inspected or obtained from the Council’s Administration Office at 87 Throssell Street, Collie between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm on weekdays or here: Standing Orders Amendment Local Law 2018 – proposed.

Submissions about the proposed law may be made to the Shire of Collie, 87 Throssell Street, Collie WA 6225 by 4pm 27 July 2018.
