The Shire of Collie is seeking an organised, discreet and motivated Executive Assistant to join our Office of the CEO. This full-time role provides executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire President and Elected Members, and coordinates civic functions and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide executive and administrative support to the CEO and Elected Members, including diary management, correspondence, and Executive Management Team agendas and minutes
- Prepare reports and Council-related documentation, and act as the Shire’s Complaints Officer
- Coordinate civic functions, Citizenship Ceremonies and Elected Member training, and manage the CEO inbox and calendar
- Assist with Local Government Elections and provide backup administrative support to the Directors as required
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in senior administrative or executive support, high-level computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong time management with the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines under pressure. You will be confident preparing reports, agendas and minutes, with sound research and analytical skills. Local government experience, and an understanding of the Local Government Act 1995 are desirable. A C or CA class driver’s licence is preferable.
A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on skills and experience. The package includes 12% superannuation with up to an additional 6% Council co-contribution (subject to matching employee contributions), and 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading, along with additional benefits.
