The Shire of Collie is seeking an enthusiastic, community‑focused and suitably qualified Recreation Centre Coordinator to coordinate the operations and community use of the Roche Park Recreation Centre.
Key responsibilities of the position will include:
- Coordinating and supervising the daily operations of the Roche Park Recreation Centre, ensuring effective service delivery and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Managing bookings, programs, events and community use of the Centre, including overseeing major sporting and community events.
- Leading, training and supervising staff and volunteers, including performance management, development and workplace health and safety.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with sporting clubs, community groups and stakeholders, while ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Overseeing administrative and financial functions, including budgeting support, reporting, and liaising on maintenance of facilities and equipment.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in recreation facility operations, proven leadership and staff management skills, sound knowledge of industry practices, strong communication, financial and organisational capabilities, computer literacy including Microsoft Office, the ability to obtain a Working with Children Check, and preferably qualifications in leisure, sport or recreation (or equivalent), along with a Senior First Aid Certificate and current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
This role is currently offered on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition to full-time for the right candidate.
An attractive remuneration package of up to $114,000 (full-time equivalent) will be offered based on skills and experience. This includes a base salary of up to $96,069 per annum (full-time), plus allowances. Residing within the Shire of Collie will be highly regarded but is not essential, and a housing allowance will be offered for such.
