Roche Park Hosts Coal Cup.

This year’s Coal Cup attracted 42 volleyball teams from around WA for the competition- the biggest to date and at absolute capacity for entries. As usual, many of the 300 competitors wore costumes while competing fiercely in what is considered a highlight on the state’s volleyball tournament calendar.

The local B-grade men’s team ‘Locals and Leigh’ won their division for the first time in 28 years. Unfortunately the local women’s team ‘Cops and Robbers’ got knocked out by 1 point in the semis.
